I was speaking with a peer today about mental wellness and how one might address it without professional help.  This is quite common as a good majority of people who have experienced some kind of mental health challenges do not receive any kind of professional help. According to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), about 56.7% of Americans with Mental Health Challenges did not receive treatment in 2018. Standing Strong: Resiliency in Traumatic Times

We’re so busy with our lives and what goes on around us that when events happen somewhere else, they are somewhere else. When I heard about what happened in Paris last Friday night, I was devastated.
