ABC’s of Recovery

It was April Fool’s week. Nothing too exciting happened.. What were you expecting? A prank of sorts? Something was bound to happen and then it was simply going to be cast aside as a joke and you’d go about the rest of your week. Sound familiar?

It did to me. Although nothing happened. I spent my week being somewhat productive and at the same time, kind of blase’. A few months back I told myself I needed a change and reworked my “positive” affirmation name from Positive pAUL to the new and improved, Overhaul pAUL.

Sounded pretty cool at the time. I was energized and ready to make strides in my recovery.

After a few years, you would think all would be just peachy. That couldn’t be farther from the truth. Rude awakening for the day… life happens ! everyday, in all ways. Thing is, nothing magically changes overnight.

Regardless of the effort, it takes commitment to yourself, belief in yourself and action!

I had this thought to take an alphabet letter daily in order to support, guide and nurture you and your recovery in the simplest of forms. YOU will have to do something about it. What will it be?

As simple as can be, you can start with the ABC’s and what they can do for YOU.
