The PiNK Elephant in the Room

Last week, I had a conversation with a few people about Awareness.

When is it that one recognizes that there may be some kind of challenge that may be affecting you? Does it happen for you when you’re “down”?, or when you’re in the process of getting back up? Maybe it’s a rainy day and you’re reflecting on life as you’re looking out the window.

This is a great generality of course as it should be since this is unique to YOU, the individual. There are innumerable things that YOU can find about yourself if you only give yourself the opportunity to explore.

So what are you seeing? What are you feeling? What part of it are you attracted to? Why would you do something about it now? What are your reasons?

I spent years myself pointing fingers and looking in all the wrong directions, inat all the wrong places. I was looking outside of me, when if I had just allowed myself to go through things, then I would have had a better chance at looking inward. Looking at myself to pay mind to what was going on within myself.

Sometimes you look for the pink elephant in the room and you have a hard time seeing it. Thing is sometimes you expect a pink elephant and there’s no elephant, let alone a pink one in site!

How about the other side of the coin? Having a hard time figuring out what’s wrong? OK. Fine.

How about looking at what’s RIGHT?!

I bet you there’s lots going on there. What were to happen if you doubled down on what was going right? On what you were doing well. On ALL the things you CAN do that bring you to all the places  you wanna go! Go ahead, make a list of ALL the things that you Do do well.

You might find it easier than you think. You may even be able to do it standing on one leg!
